What the consultation covers
Micro Loc consultations focus on the decisions that determine a successful start. We review your hair history, current texture, scalp condition and desired loc thickness to outline realistic expectations. The goal is to surface constraints—past chemical services, fragile areas, or very short length—that change the approach rather than promising any specific outcome.
We also discuss parting patterns and the trade-offs between smaller versus larger micro locs, including maintenance needs and styling options. Because Atlanta has hot, humid summers and a commuter lifestyle, we explain how seasonality and local routines influence upkeep; consultations tend to spike in Jan, Apr and Jul as clients plan installations.
How we assess your hair
The assessment is hands-on and specific: density, porosity and any chemical history are examined to determine how your natural hair will respond to starter techniques. This evaluation produces a practical plan—what preparatory steps may be needed, realistic maintenance expectations and possible staging if hair needs recovery before installation.
We factor in your day-to-day life when shaping recommendations. Commuters using I-285 and Veterans Memorial Highway, families who prefer weekend or evening slots, and clients attending events at Mable House Amphitheatre all receive scheduling and care suggestions tailored to those routines.
Scheduling and next steps
At the end of the consultation you receive a personalized plan that outlines recommended loc size, a maintenance roadmap and suggested installation timing. The consultation fee is $30. With this plan you can book an installation, request a follow-up, or get guidance on pre-install preparation based on your hair and lifestyle.
Bring clear photos of styles you like and a concise history of any chemical services to make the session most effective. Our Mableton location on the Floyd Road commercial corridor is convenient for nearby neighborhoods and park visitors; evening and weekend slots are offered for clients with busy weekday commutes.
