Get answers to common questions about Sisterlock Consultation.
During the consultation we assess hair type, density, scalp health, discuss your style goals, explain the Sisterlocks method, estimated session length and cost, and offer a personalized starter plan with maintenance expectations and next steps.
Most consultations run 30 to 60 minutes depending on hair length and questions. If a detailed mapping is needed, it may extend; we'll schedule installation separately based on your hair's needs and availability.
Not usually. The consultation determines readiness; installation often requires scheduled sessions, hair preparation like trimming or deep conditioning, and time to map parting. We’ll advise the optimal start date and prepare a plan to ensure best results.
Consultation fees vary; they cover assessment, time, and planning. Fees may be credited toward installation if you book within a specified period. Contact us for current pricing, promotions, and details about credit or cancellation policies.
Yes—we provide virtual consultations via video call for initial assessments, photo reviews, and planning. Virtual sessions can help determine readiness and outline next steps, but an in-person mapping is required before installation for precise parting and starter placement.
Bring clean, product-free hair, recent photos of desired styles, and a list of your hair history or concerns. If possible, arrive with hair in its natural state (washed and air-dried) to allow accurate evaluation.
