Generally every 4–8 weeks depending on hair growth, loc size, and desired neatness. Micro retwists or partial maintenance can extend time for mature locs, while new locs and intricate styles may require more frequent visits. We’ll set a personalized schedule at consultation.
Retwisting tightens new growth around existing locs using twisting, palm rolling or pipecleaners to restore neatness; it’s a regular maintenance method. Interlocking pulls the root through the loc with a tool to create a stronger base, commonly used for correction or longer-lasting hold.

Yes — our Hydration Steam Treatment deeply hydrates locs and scalp using steam and moisturizers to soften hair, reduce breakage, and improve elasticity. It’s excellent as a pre-retwist boost or standalone treatment for dry, brittle locs.
Arrive with dry, detangled locs unless your booking includes shampoo. Avoid heavy oils or gels 24–48 hours beforehand so product buildup won’t interfere with retwisting. Bring reference photos and mention any scalp sensitivities or desired changes at check-in.
