Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Sisterlocks: Detailed Style Only.
This service includes a professional shampoo, conditioning, and detailed styling to refine parts and smooth locks. It does not include rope twists, curl sets, or re-installation work. Choose your hair length so we can estimate time and pricing accurately.
Duration depends on hair length, density, and condition. Shorter styles can take around 1–1.5 hours, while longer, denser Sisterlocks may require 2–3 hours. Selecting your length when booking helps us allocate appropriate time for a careful, unrushed detail style.
No. This service specifically excludes rope twists and curl sets. It focuses on shampooing, conditioning, and detailed styling to tidy and shape existing Sisterlocks. If you want twists or curls, please book the appropriate styling service or consult us for options.
A consultation is recommended for first-time clients or if you have recent changes in hair or scalp health. It lets us assess length, density, and expectations so we can tailor the detail style and advise on maintenance between visits.
Arrive with dry or lightly damp hair unless otherwise instructed. Avoid heavy oils or products that cause buildup; bring a list of recent products used. Clear scalp issues with your stylist ahead of time so we can address concerns during your appointment.
Detail styles maintain neatness between retightening appointments without replacing scheduled re-twists. Regular detailing can prolong the time between full maintenance if locks remain healthy, but re-twist intervals depend on your hair growth and preferred look.
